1:1 Scale Airsoft Replica of S&W Model 686 Revolver
S&W Model 686, an L Frame revolver that was designed by legendary wheel gun
makers, Smith & Wesson.
Although the L Frame isn't as popular compared to the other frame sizes due to
the late entry of the L Frame, as the L Frame was introduced in the 1980s when
the semi-automatic "Wonder Nines" started becoming more popular with law
enforcement, military, and other civilian shooters.
Nevertheless, the Model 686 did see service notably with the French GIGN and
the United States Navy SEALs during amphibious operations, the United States
Border Patrol's legacy U.S. Customs Services, and some marine police
departments due to the Model 686 being made of Stainless Steel.
Ares is an airsoft manufacturer that is famous for its electric airsoft guns and
spring action sniper rifles, although they never did dabble with making full
gas airsoft gun they did release Co2 conversion kits for some of the spring
action sniper rifles.
This ARES S&W 686 Co2 Revolver is Ares' first gas airsoft pistol in the form of a
Co2 powered revolver.
Revolvers in airsoft are nothing new, there are many systems from different
manufacturers, and Co2 revolvers are definitely not new with Wingun being
what people would think of if Co2 revolvers were mentioned. 
That being said, in a world of semi and even fully automatic airsoft sidearms,
the revolver is not often a main sidearm for most airsofters, if anything it's
more for completing a collection, a fidget toy at home and if ever seen on a field,
it is often just a guy trying to challenge themselves for content or personal glory.
This is because the airsoft revolver is not accurate due to most airsoft revolvers
having either no Hop up or a fixed hop, causing rounds fired from an airsoft
revolver to fly all over the place in a distance, and you probably only have
6 chances before needing to reload, which isn't ideal.
Ares decides to change that once and for all, by adding an adjustable hop up unit
to their entry, the ARES S&W 686 has a TDC style hop and can be adjusted with
an Allen key.
This advantage outshines most revolvers in the market, so if you join a revolver
only game with this, you know you have range and accuracy on your side!
Other than having a proper hop up system, Ares kept what revolver enthusiasts
like about airsoft revolvers, the removable shells, these shells are made with
attention to detail, although the tip is made of rubber, to hold the seal to the bb,
right under it is a copper tip and under that, an aluminum casing, the result is
 each shell looking like an actual hollow point bullet, and to make reloading easier,
a full moon clip is included with the shells allowing for easy and faster reloads.
But the icing on the cake that comes with the ARES S&W 686 is that it comes with textured real wood grips, for this price point, real wood is almost unheard of,
not to mention the texturing, this offers a grippy yet comfortable grip.
The action of this ARES S&W 686 Co2 airsoft revolver is very smooth, mimicking
the real steel one quite nicely, the double action trigger just rolls when you
apply pressure on the trigger with the single action being crisp.
Finally, and we know, it isn't that important, but the sounds this airsoft revolver
makes are very beautiful, this revolver is not made of steel, but the sounds it
makes while spinning the wheel and just dry firing without Co2, it's just very
ASMR worthy, which is incredible for a Co2 airsoft revolver, and when its gassed,
it shoots with a really loud "BANG", which is definitely louder than most airsoft
pistols and even most airsoft rifles.
