Limited Edition for D-Day on June 6, 1944 - the Allied landings in Normandy!
With the landing in Normandy at around 06:30 on Tuesday, June 6 1944,
the long planned opening of the western front in World War II began with
Operation Overlord by the Allied forces against German occupied France.
This day is generally known as D-Day and marks the start of Operation Neptune,
the largest landing operation in world history to date.
In order to pay special tribute to this day and to the soldiers involved and those
who died, G&G Armament has decided to create a special and very limited
special model for the 78th Anniversary of D-Day.
The basic structure of the Anniversary model is based on the GPM1911 A1
GBB airsoft pistol, but has undergone a complete overhaul and comes in a
chrome gold 78th Anniversary Limited Edition design with
special real wood grips.
In addition to the special pistol, the real wood case in a root wood design with
an adapted foam rubber inlay and velvet cover is also a real feast for the eyes.
The scope of the special model is rounded off by the 5 decorative metal
cartridges in the .45 ACP size with D-Day Jun-6th-1944 lettering on the bottom.
On the high quality wooden box, G&G Armament has attached a raised plaque
in a matching design, which makes it immediately recognizable from the outside
that it is a limited pistol.
As already known from the standard GPM1911 from G&G Armament,
this special edition is of course also made of stable aluminum
with a slide and frame.
G&G relies on an excellent mirror chrome finish with particularly complex
processing for the slide.
On the left and right of the slide there are precise cutouts in which the visually
particularly attractive embossing has been neatly incorporated.
On the left side of the slide is the Jun. 06 - 1944 lettering followed by
parachutists, the 78th Anniversary lettering and two Sherman tanks shown,
which together make a nice overall picture.
The famous Airborne eagle was also shown in the rear area.
In contrast to this is the other side of the slide.
Here the embossing is provided with various engravings.
In addition, G&G incorporated the Operation Overlord D-Day lettering.
The number 78, the anniversary in 2022, is shown in the back area.
In order to generate a nice contrast, the frame comes in the perfect
gold chrome finish.
The two colors match each other perfectly and increase the optical quality
of the limited D-Day airsoft pistol.
The golden surface is also particularly cleanly coated or anodized and provides
an impressive mirror effect.
The necessary markings and a consecutive serial number are located on the frame,
which makes each pistol unique.
The handle scales made of real wood are particularly striking in this area.
The handle scales are precisely manufactured and precisely laser engraved
with beautiful illustrations.
On the left is a large landing craft with attached gliders.
Furthermore, the lettering "They Fight Not For The Lust Of Conquest"
was engraved.
The other grip shows several parachutists and continues the lettering
"They Fight To End Conquest. They Fight To Liberate".
To round off the whole design, the magazine is also anodized in the same
gold colored finish.
Furthermore, all fittings come in the gold or chrome colored surface finish.
Due to the many subtleties and high quality details, G&G Armament has
succeeded in creating a really interesting pistol with this pistol that should
not be missing in any collection.
But the GPM1911 D-Day Limited Edition is also technically state of the art.
All functions can be used like the original.
The slide is disassembled exactly like with the real pistol and the slide stop
as well as the slide and hand ball safety are also authentic in their functionality. Furthermore, thi airsoft pistol has an adjustable hop upSystem to optimize
the bullet trajectory.
The specially developed internal parts of the standard GPM1911 are also
used in this limited version.
A so called whirl cylinder valve reduces dangerous frost formation through a
high speed rotary movement.
And the metal gas filter built into the magazine also counteracts a cool down
effect, in that the filter only lets pure airsoft gas through.
Liquid gas therefore remains in the magazine.
To protect all the components, the valve installed in the magazine releases
the filled gas up to a certain safety pressure if the pressure is too high
due to the effects of strong heat.
As with the original pistol, the firing mechanism of the G&G Armament is replica.
First insert a loaded magazine, then pull the slide backwards.
Now the "gun" is ready to fire.
If the trigger is pulled, thanks to the gas blow back shot system, the metal slide
is moved backwards and forwards with each shot, just like in a real pistol.
This results in a true to original feeling of shooting, since there is also a metallic
sound when shooting.
If the magazine is empty, the slide stops at the back like in a real pistol.
After inserting a new or loaded magazine, the slide catch must also be pressed
in order to be able to continue shooting.
The pistol can be used by left and right handed people, but right handed people
are much more comfortable to use.
Due to the many metal parts, we recommend using only "Green Gas" or,
if necessary, stronger airsoft gas.
In keeping with the particularly elegant look, the limited pistol is delivered
in a special wooden box with a root wood look and a D-Day embossed plate.
Inside the wooden box, G&G Armament has incorporated a perfectly pre
punched foam inlay with a red velvet cover, so that the pistol is housed safely
and is at the same time visually appealing.
As already mentioned, 5 metal .45 caliber metal bullets are also included in the
scope of delivery, for which there are also openings in the wooden box.
To further refine the wooden box, a short description in English with a matching
photo of the Normandy landings is incorporated into the lid.
The metal hinges, which are of course also in the golden color, provide
the finishing touch.
